About the Collaboration
Our collaboration began in 2011 during a search for an effective ESG and carbon management system. Since then, the platform has served as a master data system for all related information, helping us calculate CO₂e emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. CEMAsys regularly reviews and updates emission factors within the system. Additionally, we have the flexibility to use our own emission factors sourced from our suppliers, which can also be incorporated into the CEMAsys system.
We rely on the data from CEMAsys to prepare our HSE and sustainability reports. We transfer data from CEMAsys to QlikSense every night to maintain a daily overview of our key performance indicators (KPIs). CEMAsys also provides consulting services for carbon and ESG sustainability reporting and calculations, such as those required by CDP and Ecovadis. Each month, a consultant from CEMAsys assists Cloetta in entering data into the system to ensure it is done accurately.
The journey and result with CEMAsys
Initially, we relied on Excel for emissions calculations and climate data management. Now, with a structured system in place, we efficiently manage ESG/HSE data and ensure compliance with the latest reporting requirements. Today, Cloetta has a system and traceable data management with the latest updated reporting requirements. The applications that Cloetta is using today are the Carbon Footprint, CSRD, and EU Taxonomy applications.
Key takeaways in the partnership with CEMAsys.
The team has shown a strong commitment to understanding our needs, offering innovative solutions to enhance our systems and services. Additionally, they have created custom solutions that enable us to analyze data more effectively in QlikSense.
Would you recommend CEMAsys, and what’s the latest in your partnership?
We highly recommend the platform for its user-friendly interface and comprehensive coverage of ESG and carbon management needs. The consultants are knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. CEMAsys provides a systematic approach for everyone involved.
We have broadened the scope of the software system, and we now include all of CEMAsys’ applications in our collaboration. The focus during 2025 is EU Taxonomy reporting through the system.
