Who can use the application?

This application is perfectly suited for companies falling outside of the scope of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) that want to provide basic sustainability data to stakeholders. This application is build upon the VSME standard that was originally developed for companies with less 250 employees, a turnover lower than 50m €, or a balance sheet lower than 25m €. However, it is likely that even bigger companies won’t fall within the CSRD thresholds any longer. The VSME is also perfectly suited for such companies.

Will the data flow seamlessly between CEMAsys apps to the VSME app?

CEMAsys is your one-stop shop for sustainability reporting and that’s why we want to simplify reporting from source to stakeholder for you. In future versions of the VSME app we will enable you to let your data from the carbon footprint and ESG Metrics app flow seamlessly into your VSME app.

How long does the company set-up take in the VSME app?

Our VSME app is a plug-&-play solution for you to streamline your reporting with just a few clicks. While our team takes care of the technical set-up, all you have to do is select whether you want to report on the basic or the basic + comprehensive standard and invite your colleagues. Then you are ready to go!

What happens when the EU changes the VSME standard in the future?

While the EU Commission just announced its official recommendation of using the VSME standard, the EU Commission does not exclude the possibility of future delegated acts amending the VSME standard. Should the EU make changes to the existing VSME standard for future reporting years, would we adopt those changes from the reporting year they apply to. This way we guarantee that reporting in our VSME app is always aligned with the EU’s recommendations.
